Engineering Entrance Examinations in Pune
Pune is the Mecca for the students opting to continue their higher education in engineering. Apart from the various reputed engineering institutions what gives this city the upper hand above the other cities is its amiable environment for the students and excellent infrastructure in the universities. All the engineering colleges provide adequate research and experimentation resources to the students. There are four main entrance examinations which the students are required to get through depending on the institution they choose. They are: - Maharashtra Common Entrance Test – CET
- College of Engineering,Pune and University of Pune Entrance Examination through GATE for Post Graduation Courses i.e for M tech or MS .
- Symbiosis Entrance Examination for Symbiosis Institute of Information Technology - SET
- Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering Entrance Examination – BVU - CET
All the examinations are conducted in the first week of May except GATE, which takes place a bit early in the 2nd week of February. The subjects in which, you need to be trained well before appearing for the examinations are: - English
- General Awareness
- Logical Reasoning
- Design Aptitude
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
There are many institutions nowadays, which offer specialized training on these subjects for the benefit of the entrance examination aspirants. Getting all set for the D-Day now means preparing for at least one academic year which can either go along with the regular education pattern or simultaneously.
